Opened in 2007, Revelstoke Mountain Resort is one of Canada’s newest ski resorts. Combining modern facilities with excellent terrain, it has quickly established itself as one of North America's greats, attracting powder loving skiers and boarders alike. You'll find a broad range of family friendly accommodation here– including the ski in/ski out Sutton Place Hotel - as well as plenty of off-piste activities. Revelstoke is a popular option for advanced skiers and boarders and those seeking a back country adventure. Over 45% of its terrain is suitable for advanced skiers, whereas 43% of its runs are classed as intermediate, putting it firmly in the experienced skier camp. The resort has four lifts and 75 runs including 'The Last Spike'. This heavenly piste measures over 9.5 miles long, making it North America's longest ski trail - perfect for a relaxed run at the end of a day. Home to the longest vertical drop in North America, Revelstoke's 5260 feet of 'vertical' puts it on a par with Europe's very best resorts, but with a fraction of the crowds. Located approximately 2 hours shuttle ride from Kelowna or a 4-hour drive from Calgary. Given its location Revelstoke receives a lot less visitors than Whistler and Banff, making it a much quieter resort. Although Revelstoke is one of the harder locations to reach, it lends itself perfectly to a multi-centre trip or a snow safari in Canada.
