Palisades Tahoe
Palisades Tahoe
Up until the 1960 Winter Olympics, Palisades Tahoe (formerly known as the Squaw Valley) was a well-kept locals secret. The success of the first televised winter games catapulted the resort into the world’s imagination, and nearly 70 years later it continues to impress. Ski at Palisades and you will be skiing at one of California’s premier ski destinations.
Originally two separate resorts, Olympic Valley combined with Alpine Meadows in 2011, to form Palisades Tahoe. Discover two mountains and one resort that offer 6000 acres of skiable terrain and a total of 240 runs.
Both are blessed with a generous amount of snowfall, with the resort averaging 450 inches each season. Its not unheard of for the ski season to stretch into the summer months, but to experience it at its best we recommend you visit in Spring. This is perfect if you are looking for a ski holiday over the Easter period.
