In Washington, try wandering round the National Mall, which is surrounded by the Smithsonian Museums - including the National Museum of the American Indian and the National Air and Space Museum. Across the river in Arlington and only a short metro stop away you will find the Arlington Cemetery - the site of the Kennedy graves. Spend the evening in one of the many restaurants in Foggy Bottom or Georgetown with its Colonial architecture and great shopping or simply stroll along the banks of the Potomac River.
