DAY 1 Arrive Sydney

Built on a natural harbour, Sydney is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Whether you are relaxing on its famous beaches, or soaking up its world class culture, there is no shortage of things to see and do here. Visit the famous Opera House, wander around the historic rocks district where this city has grown up around or head to Darling Harbour for a wealth of entertainment. The city has a plethora of museums to discover, or explore the beautiful Botanical Gardens, a green oasis with majestic views across the harbour. The relaxed beach suburbs of Coogee, Bondi and Manly are a bus or ferry ride away from the city and are the perfect place to while away an afternoon on golden sands.  The scenic Blue mountains and their picturesque country villages are just a day trip away from the hustle and bustle of the city or why not take a day trip to the scenic Hunter Valley, one of Australia’s oldest wine regions. Our Sydney, Rock and Reef itinerary includes the choice of either option – or why not extend your trip and include both?!

DAY 4 Uluru (Ayers rock)

Rising from the red dirt of the outback is Uluru, the largest monolith in the world and a scared aboriginal site. Also known Ayers Rock, this giant red sandstone is hard to comprehend, but even more so when you are face to face with this geological marvel. Allow time to visit nearby Kata Tjua – 36 dome shaped rocks which tower over 500 metres above the surrounding desert, this fascinating sight translates as ‘Many heads’ in Aboriginal. Both Uluru and Kata Tjua can be combined with a sunset barbeque, sunrise breakfast or guided tours with an aboriginal guide. However you choose to explore Uluru and Kata Tjua, you are sure to leave with a deeper connection to these desert wonders.

DAY 7 Port Douglas and The Great Barrier Reef

Port Douglas makes the ideal base to visit the Great Barrier reef from. Set sail on a fast boat and immerse yourself in a tropical underwater paradise, as you snorkel, dive or take a glass bottom boat ride amongst a kaleidoscope of fish and coral.

The rest of your holiday is free to unwind on the golden sands or head inland where you can explore Crystal Cascades, a series of waterfalls and swimming holes hidden away off the beaten track.
