Depart the UK from London (regional connections available) and fly to San Francisco. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your chosen hotel for a three night stay.
Surrounded by San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean, the ‘City by the Bay’ is arguably the most friendly and beautiful in America. Perhaps begin by taking a cruise around the Golden Gate Bridge or explore the city on foot and visit Fisherman’s Wharf – home to the city’s playful resident sea-lions or Union Square for world-class shopping and dining. Be sure not to miss Alcatraz – the famous island prison a short boat ride across the bay. If you fancy getting out of the city for a few hours, visit Muir Woods and the great sequoias and relax in bohemian Sausalito.
We recommend a stay at the Palace hotel. This San Francisco institution blends modern luxuries with ‘timeless elegance’ to offer its guests an unforgettable stay.

Pick up your hire car from downtown San Francisco and drive south along the Pacific Coast Highway to the Monterey Peninsula, home of Pebble Beach Resorts®.
Picture a dramatic coastline, mystical forest, seaside boardwalk, hidden coves, sandy beaches, rolling fairways, elegant architecture and brilliant views of the Pacific Ocean—all surrounding one of the most iconic resorts in the world. Now picture yourself here at Pebble Beach®.
Choose from one of three luxurious accommodations, each offering a unique vibe. The Lodge at Pebble Beach™ is defined by relaxed elegance, luxurious hospitality, timeless architecture and a glorious ocean side setting. Overlooking spectacular sand dunes and an endless view of the Pacific Ocean, The Inn at Spanish Bay™ is a romantic seaside escape. Tucked away in an exclusive and intimate Mediterranean-style estate, Casa Palmero at Pebble Beach™ is the pinnacle of personal service and deluxe privacy.
Having checked in, ease into your golfing break with 9 holes on The Hay™.
The Hay™ has been a fixture at Pebble Beach since 1957, when famed Head Professional Peter Hay revolutionized the concept of a short course. Hay’s vision was to create a fun place where juniors, families, and friends, regardless of their ability, could gather around the game of golf.
In 2021, Tiger Woods amplified Hay’s vision in a way few could have imagined with his brilliant redesign of the property. The result is a course overflowing with fun, including an exact replica of the famed No. 7 at Pebble Beach Golf Links™, as well as holes designed to be played with any club in the bag, and an additional 20,000 square-foot putting course that sprawls 100 yards, yielding endless routings.

Today you will play Pebble Beach, Links. This incredible course has made history on a number of occasions, but now it is your turn to take to the fairways of this American icon.
Welcome to Pebble Beach Golf Links™, unanimously rated the No. 1 Public Course in the Country. Pebble Beach hosted its sixth U.S. Open in 2019, and it’s first U.S. Women’s Open in 2023, more than any other course over the last 50 years. A seventh US Open is scheduled to return in 2027.
Get ready to enjoy the round of a lifetime!
Non-golfers may want to make a booking for the The Spa at Pebble Beach™. One of only 124 spas in the world to receive the coveted Forbes Five-Star Award, this luxurious spa offers signature services that incorporate the healing properties of plants, herbs and minerals indigenous to California’s Monterey Peninsula.
As a guest of Pebble Beach Resorts®, you will also enjoy unique access to a pair of private social and recreational clubs. Both boast beautiful ocean views, picturesque pools, plus an array of fitness and tennis amenities.

Another day and another round! Today you will play the historic Del Monte™ course.
Del Monte™ is a landmark course that has played an instrumental role in popularizing golf out West since its inception in 1897. The birthplace of the California State Amateur and the oldest course in continuous operation west of the Mississippi retains much of that classic charm today, challenging the game’s best golfers with its small, sloping, old-school greens.
Originally designed as a nine-hole course in 1897 by Charles E. Maud and expanded to 18 holes in 1902, Del Monte™ promptly attracted the game’s best players. The course’s Del Monte™ Championship was so highly regarded that many considered the champion to be the best golfer in the state.
Following your round you may wish to explore nearby Monterey. The town is full of fabulous seafood restaurants; definitely make sure to try the famous clam chowder at Fisherman’s Wharf. Nature buffs can explore the bay by kayak for a close-up look at sea lions, seals and otters. Monterey is an ideal destination to go whale-watching and the Monterey Bay Aquarium is one of the best in the world.

Said to be the best course yet to have hosted a Major, Spyglass Hill™ is the perfect way to end your golfing break.
If Pebble Beach® is the Greatest Meeting of Land and Sea, then perhaps Spyglass Hill™ should be dubbed the Greatest Meeting of Sand and Trees. The defining takeaway at Spyglass Hill™ is how starkly the first five holes juxtapose the rest of your round. Sweeping ocean views with holes darting through a daring dune scape give way to the understated natural beauty and brawn of the Del Monte Forest. Pine Valley-by-the-Sea meets Augusta National, as Sports Illustrated eloquently described it.
Depending on your tee time you may wish to pay a visit to the ‘alternative’ seaside village of Carmel, with its arty shops and tasting rooms boasting many varieties of hand-crafted wines from the surrounding California wine country.
Finish your stay with a meal at one of Pebble Beach Resorts® award-winning restaurants and dining experiences. A team of outstanding chefs put their personal twist on locally grown produce, sustainably caught seafood and top quality meats
