Surround yourself in beautiful northern landscapes as you travel across the frozen Churchill River to a new and secluded location each night for incredible viewing opportunities of the northern lights! During the day, immerse yourself in the unique history and culture of this northern community. Explore the boreal forest and feel the crunch of snow beneath your feet on a snowshoeing adventure. Experience the thrill of mushing a dog sled team through the forest, with the wind in your hair and the northern landscape stretching out before you. Gain a deeper appreciation for the rich culture of the region with a tour of the local Itsanitaq Museum, where you'll discover the traditions and stories of the Indigenous peoples who have lived in the surrounding region for generations. Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrive Winnipeg

Depart the UK from London or a regional airport of your choice.

After connecting in Calgary you arrive in Winnipeg and check in at the Lakeview Signature Airport Hotel. After check in, enjoy an evening meet and greet hosted by your guide.

DAY 2 Depart Winnipeg for Churchill

Depart Winnipeg in the early morning for your 2-hour flight to Churchill, where you check in to your hotel on arrival.

Embark on a Churchill town and area tour including a visit to the Itsanitaq Museum, featuring a fascinating collection of Aboriginal artefacts and art, and visit to PBI House to learn about the bears.

After dinner a guided night hike in the forest rounds out a perfect northern day.

DAY 3 Churchill

Today, adventure awaits with a guided snowshoeing tour on local trails. Discover how both the Aboriginal peoples and early settlers traversed the deep snows and harsh landscapes. In the evening, enjoy some delicious local delicacies at Dan’s Diner on the other side of the Churchill River.

DAY 4 Churchill

Today you get a true taste of ancient Métis tradition on a guided dogsledding tour, as your team of trusty animals whisks your sled through local trails in this thrilling, quintessential northern Canada experience. After dinner, set out on a ride on the Tundra Buggy® for another dazzling evening of aurora viewing.

DAY 5 Churchill

After breakfast, you check out of your hotel and attend a presentation by Parks Canada at their interpretive centre. The remainder of the day is free to explore the town before your return flight to Winnipeg. Transfer from Winnipeg Airport to your hotel, relax with a final dinner and reflect on your Canadian adventure.

DAY 6 Depart Winnipeg

Your Northern Lights and Winter Nights adventure has come to an end.

Check out of your hotel and travel back to the UK or if you wish to extend your adventure speak to one of our consultants. We can arrange for you to stay longer in Winnipeg, or perhaps enjoy a few days in Calgary or Toronto on your way back home.
