Nashville, or ‘Music City USA’, is the home of country music and some of America’s biggest recording companies. Head out to the Grand Ole Opry House, the ‘church’ of country music. Visit the famous Ryman Auditorium, tour the Johnny Cash Museum, the Country Music Hall of Fame or RCA’s Studio ‘B’ where Elvis Presley recorded over 200 of his best-loved hits. Spend an evening meandering along Broadway, listening to live music in its honky-tonks or take in a show on a paddle steamer dinner cruise. Make sure to leave space in your suitcase for some shopping - Nashville will tempt you with cowboy boots and Stetson hats for that Country and Western style!
Memphis is infamous as the home of the King of Rock'n'Roll, Elvis Presley. While here, take a tour of home, Graceland. Visit Sun Studios, the place where legends such as Johnny Cash, BB King, Roy Orbison and Elvis himself have all recorded music. Memphis is also home to the Lorraine Motel, the site of Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination in 1968. The motel is now a renowned Civil Rights Museum. And of course, no visit to the city is complete without a drink on the iconic Beale Street.
