Open Road Tours

We offer many trips departing from either Sedona or Phoenix that range from half-day tours to seven day adventure tours. They offer wonderful sightseeing adventures in a fleet of vans and minibuses, led by informative and friendly guides.


Day Trips from Phoenix/Scottsdale:

Grand Canyon via Sedona and Navajo Reservation - £75.00 per adult: Our friendly, informative guides will treat you to Arizona's diverse scenery and history on this spectacular trip. Begin with a fully-narrated tour of the Sonoran Desert on the way to your first stop of the day -- Sedona's colorful Red Rock country. You'll have time for a coffee break and a chance to get some photos of this inspiring area. Next, travel through scenic Oak Creek Canyon and the pine forests of Flagstaff before arriving at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon around lunch time. Here, you can drink in the boundless wonders of Grand Canyon from our favorite overlooks or take a short nature walk. We'll also tour the beautiful East Rim of the canyon and visit additional viewpoints along this 22-mile drive. After we depart the Grand Canyon, we'll drive across the vast Navajo Indian Reservation, and make a stop at the Cameron Trading Post (with the Painted Desert as your backdrop) to shop for jewelry and crafts. We then start our return to the Valley of the Sun. A brief stop will be made for dinner before your return between approximately 8-9pm. Meals and gratuities not included. (G1)

Verde Canyon Train & Historic Jerome - £85.00 per adult: This panoramic rail experience through the Verde River Canyon visits areas accessible only by train. The colourful desert cliffs and abundant wildlife make this an unforgettable trip. All guests have access to open-air viewing cars for fantastic views. Also included is a visit to the historic copper mining town of Jerome with its quaint shops and rich history. (V1)

Best of Tucson - £55.00 per adult: Tour south to visit some of the best Tucson attractions beginning with a scenic stop in Saguaro National Park. Enjoy the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum where you'll encounter plants and animals of the Southwest in their natural settings. Later, enjoy a scenic overlook of Tucson and visit the city's historic district and Old Town Artisans. Includes admission to the Sonoran Museum. (T1)

Sedona & Grand Canyon Explorer -Three Days/Two Nights - £275.00 per adult:
Day 1- Travel to Montezuma Castle prehistoric Indian ruins and panoramic overlooks of the Sedona red rock areas. Passengers have the afternoon and evening free to enjoy the many optional activities available in Sedona. Guests may take a wilderness jeep tour, balloon ride, helicopter tour, browse through world-class Southwestern art galleries or take a walk along Oak Creek. For active travelers, many hiking trails are nearby. Your hotel is conveniently located in downtown Sedona a short distance to most activities. Overnight at the Matterhorn Lodge or equivalent.
Day two, the tour continues to Grand Canyon National Park and guests are assisted with check in to a local motel. The remainder of the day and following morning are free for guests to explore on their own. This provides a perfect opportunity for a leisurely walk, travel along the West Rim or experiencing an air tour over the Canyon. Overnight Grand Hotel or Best Western.
The morning of day three is free to explore before an Open Road guide meets tour guests in the early afternoon for an East Rim tour. Imax Theatre tickets are included as well. Photo opportunities are fantastic along the way. Later, stop at Cameron Trading Post on the Navajo Reservation for shopping and views of the Painted Desert cliffs in the distance. Return to Phoenix mid to late evening. Price includes admissions, lodging & hotel taxes, Imax tickets, tours and transportation. (G3)
