Denver Skyline Credit VISIT DENVER8

Denver City Breaks

The mile high metropolis of Denver is a cosmopolitan mix of stunning natural scenery, superb hotels, fine dining and great nightlife.

Denver has many opportunities to explore art galleries, boutiques, farm to table restaurants and craft breweries in Denver's hip urban neighbourhoods of LoDo (Lower Downtown), Highlands, RiNo (River North Art District) and the newly re-developed area of Union Station, which is not only the transportation hub of the city (including a brand new rail service from Denver airport, making your journey to downtown even easier) but is fast becoming a cultural and foodie hotspot. If you are looking for somewhere special, go for a cocktail at Cooper Lounge or try a craft beer at the Terminal Bar before dinner in some of the finest restaurants in the city.

For family fun, check out the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, the Asian elephants at Denver Zoo or ride the virtual ski jump at the History Colorado Center. Also worth a visit are the Clyfford Still Museum and Denver Art Museum. You will be afforded the best view of Denver and the Rocky Mountains from the Colorado State Capitol Building where you will be one mile above sea level.

If shopping is more your thing, then Cherry Creek is your paradise; home to many stores such as Macy's and Nordstrom, you are sure to find some great bargains here.

A day trip to Estes Park, an attractive village resort the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park, is a great idea if you have time. This small town has shops, restaurants and flower gardens as well as the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park; one of the most scenic spots in North America.

Some of our favourite hotels

Warwick: Elegant executive hotel situated in the downtown business district, the Warwick now typifies elegance, hospitality, and service. Great care has been given to create an environment that blends European tradition with the warm welcome of its Western surroundings. Located in a park-like setting in the downtown area, the hotel's guest rooms offer spectacular views of the skyline and nearby Rocky Mountains.

Brown Palace: This hotel has set the standard for luxury hotels in Denver for more than a century. Designed by one of the city's preeminent architects, this unique triangular-shaped Denver Colorado hotel allows the sunshine to illuminate each of its 241 guest rooms and suites. In fact, during the early years, when guests checked into our distinctive Denver accommodations, they were asked whether they preferred morning or afternoon sun.

Curtis Hotel: The Curtis Hotel, features chic, contemporary guest rooms and all of the ameneties that one would expect from a world-class hotel.

Magnolia Hotel: Old world charm meets modern Magnolia style in our downtown Denver hotel, formerly the American National Bank Building.
